BR 2-06: Thumbelina

Once, there was a woman who wanted a child.  At last, she went to a fairy for help.  She got a magic seed from the fairy.  Then, she put it in a flower pot.  The seed grew into a beautiful red-gold flower, and she bent and kissed it.  And the petals of the flower began to open.  Inside was a tiny girl, no bigger than a thumb.  She called a tiny girl Thumbelina.  Thumbelina floated on a tulip leaf in a saucer of water.  One night, a large, lumpy toad crept through the open window, and she snatched Thumbelina as she slept.  She didn’t escape from the place, so fishes helped Thumbelina.  Then, Thumbelina floated for days, past villages and wide green fields.  Then, a big brown beetle swooped down and grabbed her in his claws.  However, the beetle dropped her in a field.  She lived there during summer.  Then, winter came and a field mouse took Thumbelina back to her snug little home.  In the middle of the tunnel lay a bird.  Thumbelina nursed the bird.  Then, the bird flew up out of the tunnel and soared into the sky alone. Then, Thumbelina met a prince, and she married him.  Best of all was a beautiful pair of wings, so she could fly from flower to flower.  And the swallow swooped above them all, singing a joyful song.  How did Thumbelina meet a prince?

I borrowed this book because this book’s picture was pretty.  I didn’t know this book’s contents.  I know the existence of this book written in Japanese, but I did not read it.  I thought this book was very good, so I try to read this book written in Japanese.  I think Thumbelina was happy because she got over various hardships.  I thought that I want to become the person who could help a person troubled like her.

BR 2-05: Princess Polly and the Pony

This story’s main character is Polly, Pony, Polly’s mother and Polly’s father.  Polly is princess.  Poll’s father is King.  Polly’s mother is Queen.  Polly was in trouble.  It is that she has got mud on her because she has been galloping on those ponies.  Therefore her parents told her not to gallop on those ponies.  Then, she looked at a poster.  It is written “Pony Games.”  The game is dressing-up race.  It was the game held by her parents.  She thought she would love to be a race.  On the day of the race onto Pickle, the smallest pony.  At last, race began.  She was the fourth place in the middle of the race.  Polly and Pickle flew over the finishing line.  Therefore she came out to her parents.  However, she asked her parents.  What did she ask her parents for? 

I borrowed this book because this book’s picture was very good.  This book was interesting.  I thought she is lucky.  Also, I thought she was happy when she rides on pony.  I think that it is important to like something, so I want to spend it doing that I want to do something.

Essay 2-03b: Learning with computers

Many people can learn with computers.  For example, they can learn by academic work, home computing and office tools.  Learning with computers is fun and interesting because people can learn English by games.  There are English central, Power Words and typing game in games.  If people do them, they improve English pronunciation, and vocabulary increases.  Moreover, people can type quickly.  There are advantages and disadvantages in computers. 

First of all, we can learn by academic work.  For example, there are writing class, other classes, homework and Internet research in academic work.  We can learn by writing class.  A lot of homework is given us by writing class.  There are book reviews, some posts on our blog and typing homework.  We have to do them every week.  We also have to write essay once or twice a month.  We can contribute blog from cell-phone and computers.  They are very hard for us, but they will master English skills.  What's more, we can learn by English central and Power Words.  They are online study and practice.  If we do English central, we can practice speaking English, and we can do the study of vocabulary, and we can do video reviews.  Therefore we can improve English pronunciation and we can increase vocabulary.

Next, we can learn by office tools.  For example, there are Excel, Word and PowerPoint.  We can learn PowerPoint by speaking class because we use PowerPoint to announce the presentation.  We can learn Word by reading class, introduction to information processing class and other classes.  We have to write a report as it was appointed by each class.  Therefore it is hard, but it is studied for us.  We have to write a report by reading class and other classes using Word.  We can learn how to use Word and Excel by introduction to information processing class at the age of a freshman.  Also, we can take the extracurricular lecture of Word and Excel, and we can take examination of Microsoft Office Specialist.  We call it MOS.  If we acquire this qualification, we will become in favor of finding employment.
 

Next, In this society, computers are one of the most effective means to obtain information.  If people search that they want to know it on the Internet, they can obtain information early, so they should search it on the Internet.  Therefore it is not necessary to buy a newspaper.  If people search it on the Internet, they understand that they want to know it and event of Japan and world event and so on.  However, it is necessary to analyze enormous information, so people should learn computers at a university to develop ability to analyze.

Next, there are many advantages in computers.  Computers are very convenience.  We can share file easily in Google Drive.  We share file with our teacher or our classmates.  We use it by writing class and speaking class.  We use Gmail because it has been sent to us by our teacher.  For example, homework and comment have been sent to us in Gmail.    Moreover, Word is very convenience and useful.  If there is the sentence that we want to add, we can add it, and we can delete it immediately if there is the sentence that we want to delete.  Also, our hand does not dirty because of the pencil.  What’s more, we can search various things in the Internet, so it is very useful.  For example, we examine a document necessary for report.  The merit of the Internet is being able to search immediately whatever we don't know, and we can get much knowledge.  We can use the Internet at any time.  We can use the Internet with computers and our cell-phone. 

 

Finally, there are disadvantages in computers.  It is that the data which we saved to a computer may go out.  Also, the demerit of the Internet is that we may become poisoning of the Internet.  Moreover, we are worried about the security of the Internet.  What's more, the trouble which we are abused in Internet crime, or which we make illegal download increases.  There is the huge amount of information in the Internet, and there is also false information in inside.  Therefore we have to look at and analyze the information, so we necessarily use computer too much.   If we use computers for a long time, we are tired, or we are troubled with physical ailments, such as eyesight's problems, neck problem, shoulder problem and headache and other physical problems.

In conclusion, using computers is very convenience and useful for our life.  There is a lot of having to learn with computers because it is most important in modern life.  When we examine something, we need the Internet.  Ability for our judgment is found because the Internet has enormous information.  In addition, we should learn Word and Excel more because we will be helpful when we find a job in the company.

My favorite sport

My favorite sport is tennis.  I played tennis for nine years.  I began playing tennis when I was nine years old because my brother played tennis.  I went to sports club to play tennis when I was an elementary school student.  Then, I belonged to tennis club when I was a junior high school student.  I was the second place in summer meeting when I was fourteen years old.  Also, I belonged to tennis club when I was a high school student.  I participated in the big meeting called national high school synthesis physical education meet when I was seventeen years old.  This is called koukousoutai in Japanese.  I was not able to get good ranking, but I was fun.  Now, I sometimes play tennis with my friends or members of tennis club of SJU.  I like playing tennis with them because I can play tennis, and it is fun for me.

BR 2-04: The Musicians of Bremen

Once upon a time, there was a very mean man.  He was mean to his donkey, his dog, his cat and his rooster. His donkey, dog, cat and rooster are friends.  Especially, he was very mean to rooster.  He said, “I’ll get him tomorrow.  We’ll put his rooster in the pot and eat him for lunch.”  That evening, the rooster crowed as hard as he could to tell them that a mean man will eat us tomorrow.  The donkey said, “Let’s run way.  We can go to Bremen and join the town band.”  The cat thinks I’ll play the violin.  The dog thinks I’ll play the didgeridoo.  The donkey said to the rooster “you can sing.”  The four friends set off at once.  They walked until they came to a deep and dark forest.  They found a house.  There were three robbers in the house.  They ejected three robbers from the house.  Then, they burst into the room, and they ate various dishes, and they slept.  The smallest robber crept into the kitchen.  He saw the shining eyes of the cat.  He thought “Burning coals.”  He put his candle in the cat’s eyes and she leaped at his face.  He ran to the door where there is the dog, and the dog bit his leg.  He ran across the yard and into the donkey.  The rooster screeched flying across the roof.  The robbers never went back to the house again.  The four friends never did go to Bremen, and they never did become musicians.  They liked the house so much they stayed there for the rest of their lives. 

I hope they live happily.  I think it was not good that they became robbers.  However, I thought I was good that they were not eaten to a mean man.  I was glad when I found this book because I have read it written in Japanese when I was a child.  I thought the book which written in English isn’t.  However, I don’t remember content of the book written in Japanese, so I was a little difficult for me, but it was very interesting.

My favorite supermarket

My favorite supermarket is Daiei.  When I was a child, I often went there with my family.  There are clothes shops, interior shop, book store, food counter, shoes counter, food corner, Daiso, and so on in Daiei.  I bought many clothes and shoes and so on when I was an elementary school student because I can buy them cheaply in Daiei.  Also, my mother’s friend works at watch store in Daiei, so I bought some watches there.  Moreover, I always went to book store when I went to Daiei.  I bought many comics.  What’s more, I enjoyed at game corner there with my friends.  I often took print club stickers, and I play UFO catcher well, so I was very fun.  However, I hardly became to go there recently, but my parents often go there to buy foods.  I am sometimes invited to my parents, so I go there then.

My favorite famous person is Jun.  He is a member of group called Arashi.  He dances and sings as Arashi.  He is very cool, so he is very attractive.  He is a hard worker.  He challenges various things.  For example, he performs as an actor and appears in many variety programs and movies.  Now, he appears in a movie called “hidamari no kanojo.”  I don’t yet watch it, so I want to watch it someday.  I have been to Arashi’s concert twice.  I went there with my mother or my friend.  I was impressed by it when I went there for the first time.  I wanted to go there, but I didn’t deal with a lottery.  I was shocked very much.  I always buy Arashi’s goods when I went to their concert.  I bought his photos, a penlight, poster and other goods.

BR 2-03: The Baobab Tree

This story is about a talking tree and some angry African gods.  One day, gods made a talking tree.  They called it the Baobab tree.  Baobab means say bay-oh-bab.  The Baobab tree talked a lot.  For example, Baobab tree talked “I don’t like this soil.”, “It’s too hot.”, “I’m cold.” and “I7m thirsty.” and so on.  The Baobab tree was fed up, so the Baobab tree was moaning.  The gods said, “Stop moaning.”  They grabbed the Baobab tree, and they turned it upside down, so his head was in the ground.  Therefore he couldn’t open his mouth to talk.  Well, why was Baobab tree fed up? 

I borrow this book because my friend recommended this book to me.  This book’s picture was good, and it seemed to be easy to read.  I thought that gods are freedom because they can make something which they like.  I did not image that they make tree which can talk a lot.  I was surprised at coming up with it.  I think that I want to become a person who can come up with various things.

Cecil McBee’s concept is that girls want to stand out cutely forever.  Girls want to wear clothes that suit the setting and make them stand out.  For example, girls want to wear cute clothes, glamorous clothes or elegant clothes.  Cecil McBee realizes a dreamlike closet for such greedy girl and suggests girls’ lifestyle.  Concept of Cecil McBee in Tenjin Core is that people can wear a lot of seasonable clothes to be able to dress cutely cool clothes under the theme of sexy and cute.

This shop has a very nice atmosphere.  This shop is always clean and comfortable.  Many people may like the atmosphere of shops in which the staff work happily and well.  Salesclerks of this shop are cheerful and friendly.  What’s more, they know trend and popular items at the time.  Moreover, they have a fashion sense.  A salesclerk notices the clothes that you are interested in from your eyes, and she talks to you.  She suggests various clothes for you.  From this, there are always a lot of customers in this shop.  

There are a lot of products in this shop.  This shop sells clothes, bags, shoes, accessories and other goods.  All products sold in the shop are pretty.  Especially, there are many fashionable clothes.  Most products are inexpensive, so people can buy many products.   Products of Cecil McBee have good quality.  Therefore the product lasts a long time.  People can get a product at a reasonable price.  However, the product can be sold immediately.  That’s why they have to buy the product which they like immediately if they found their favorite product.  From this, they become to need early decision.  The popular product of Cecil McBee is a coat now.  Especially, a trench coat is very popular.   

Cecil McBee is not in Kumamoto, but the shop is in Fukuoka in the Kyushu district.  People who live in Kumamoto have to go to Fukuoka.  If you go to Fukuoka, you should go to Cecil McBee.  You should go to Fukuoka by Shinkansen because you can arrive at Fukuoka early.  You can go there from Kumamoto in 30 minutes by using the Shinkansen.  After you arrive at Hakata station, you go to Tenjin station by subway, and you go to Tenjin core on foot.  This shop is on the first floor of Tenjin Core, and there is it near an entrance, so this shop is outstanding well.  Therefore you can find it easily.  If you go to Fukuoka by bus, it is cheaper than Shinkansen, but it takes about two hours.  People who suffer easily from motion sickness should go to Fukuoka by Shinkansen.   Many people go there with their friends.

You will become to like Cecil McBee because there are many pretty clothes.  You will become to like accessories of this shop.   Cecil McBee in Tenjin core has many products.  You can enjoy just to watching them.  Even if you go there several times, you will not get tired.  On the contrary, you will become to want to go there many times.  If you go to Cecil McBee, you may feel glad, so you will become to want to go there again.

Some people hope that there is a Cecil McBee’s shop in the downtown of Kumamoto.  If there is the shop in Kumamoto, many people will go there.  Many people may buy many products there.  What’s more, sales of Cecil McBee may rise if the number of stores in Japan increases.  When there is not Cecil McBee’s store in Kumamoto, you should find clothes shops which you like there.

I like Cecil McBee because there are many pretty clothe.  Also, I like accessories of this shop, so I bought a bracelet last time.  I sometimes wear it.  Cecil McBee in Tenjin core has an abundant and many products.  I am fun just to watch them.  Therefore even if I go to several times there, I don’t get tired.  On the contrary, I want to go there many times.

My favorite place is Tokyo.  There were many sightseeing spots, delicious foods and so on in Tokyo.  I go there three times a year.  I have been to Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ebisu, Asakusa, Tokyo tower, Tokyo skytree, Mitaka, Tokyo Disney Resort and so on.  I often go to Shibuya because there is my favorite bland.  However, I hardly buy new clothes there.  

I went to Tokyo with my family for the first time when I was two years old.  I don’t remember it.  I went to Disney Land then.

There is my favorite brand.  First of all, my favorite brand is CECIL McBEE.  There are many pretty clothes in the shop.  The brand concept is that girls want to shine cutely forever.  And girls want to acquire the fashion which can shine most which there was in each scene.  For example, girls want to wear cute clothes, glamorous clothes or elegant clothes.  The shop realizes a dreamlike closet for such a greedy girl and suggests girls’ lifestyle.  Therefore I like this shop, but this shop isn’t in Kumamoto.  Therefore I have to go to Fukuoka.  However, I don’t frequently go there because Fukuoka is far for me, so I often use an online shop.  If there is a product which I want, I buy it by an online shop.

BR 2-02: The Magic Pear Tree

This story is about selfish Shen, a hungry beggar and a kind woman.  Shen lived in a little house with a big garden.  There was a tree in a garden.  The tree grew sweet, golden pears.  Shen picked many pears from the tree.  Then, Shen went to sell them at the market.  A beggar was hungry, so he wanted a pear, but he had no money.  Therefore he wasn’t able to buy it.  Then, a kind woman bought it, and she gave him it.  He ate it happily.  He came up with good thing, so he carried out it.  What did he do? 

I borrowed this book because it seems to be interesting.  I was decided in a trick.  Shen was angry, but everyone was smile.  Therefore Shen was less selfish, so I think I was good.

BR 2-01: Clever Rabbit and the Lion

There were a great big lion, a rabbit and small and weak animals in a great big jungle. Lion always said, ”I’m going to eat you all up.”  Therefore a rabbit thought good method.  It was that all the animals hid from lion.  Then, a rabbit led lion to the deep, wide river.  Lion jumped into the river, and lion was swept away, so lion died.  Why did lion jump into the river? 

I borrowed this book because this book’s picture was cute.  Also, I was attracted by the title of this book.  Surely, rabbit was clever and very brave.  However, I thought that rabbit might not need to kill a lion.  I thought there is different good method for example the lion makes friends with all animals living in the jungle.
